Bachelor Gulch

Settler's Lodge

In the early 1900s, the very first mountain settlers staked their claims to the most desirable Bachelor Gulch property, building homes overlooking the raw, natural beauty of the Gore Range.

A century later, history repeated itself. Settler's Lodge, a stone and timber "mountain fort" of 16 units, was 80% sold before construction was completed in 2001 - once again providing a few early settlers with the opportunity to own a home in the premier Bachelor Gulch Village location.

For the early settlers, skiing was not a sport; it was a primary means of transportation. For Settler's Lodge residents, skiing provides hours of enjoyment. Settler's Lodge is a few steps away from the skiway, providing a short cruise down to the central village and the Bachelor Gulch Express. From there residents enjoy skiing between the villages of Bachelor Gulch, Beaver Creek and Arrowhead all on Beaver Creek Mountain.
